Gathered, Not Scattered

The story of Babel begins with a people determined to make a name for themselves, and it ends with their words confused and their city abandoned. Scripture is honest about what self-trust builds: towers that reach for heaven and communities that cannot hold together. Our children begin their fall journey this week at that unfinished tower, while the Gospel appointed for Sunday shows us the opposite miracle.
