There is no cost, nothing to sign, and no membership of St. Francis or of any church required.
You need not speak
You are welcome to come and simply listen. Coming once is enough to have come.

Confidentiality is the ground a group like this stands on, and everyone who comes takes it seriously.
We meet
Fridays at 6:00 in the evening

There is parking on the church grounds. Come a few minutes early if you would like to settle, or slip in once we have begun. Either is perfectly all right.
What this is
A weekly gathering for people doing the work of healing
Recovery Ministry at St. Francis in-the-Field is for people who are working toward healing, whatever shape that work takes.
Some come because of addiction. Others come because of grief, anxiety, a broken relationship, or a pattern of living that has taken more than it has given. All of it is welcome here, and nobody is asked to explain themselves at the door.
What we draw on
Twelve steps, and Scripture alongside each one
Our group draws on the Celebrate Recovery program, a Christ-centered adaptation of the familiar twelve steps in which each step is paired with a passage of Scripture.
We use the elements of it that serve this community best, and we hold to its central conviction: that healing is possible, that it happens in company rather than alone, and that God meets people in the middle of the work rather than at the end of it. What is shared in the room stays in the room. That is not a rule we recite; it is the thing that makes the room possible at all.
