ADULT FORMATION

All men of the parish are invited to coffee with a member of the clergy, for conversation and for prayer, and for whatever question happens to be on your mind that morning. It is a good way to begin the day.

### Heading Three

We meet every Thursday morning at nine o’clock in the conference room at the parish office. There is no curriculum and nothing to prepare. Some mornings the conversation turns to Scripture, and some to whatever is happening in the parish or in the world.

The Daughters of the King (DOK) is a religious order where each Daughter takes a lifetime vow of daily prayer and makes a lifelong commitment to service and evangelism in the Episcopal Church.

The St. Clare of Assisi Chapter was formed at St. Francis in 2015 and now has more than thirty members. Meetings focus on study and prayer, and Daughters serve the parish through planned as well as informal events and activities through the year.

Real Mom Talk is a gathering for mothers of school-aged children, where the conversation is honest about how hard it can be, and where nobody is expected to arrive with everything under control.

We offer this on our Wednesday night formation evening at 6:30pm in the church. Come as you are, come late if the evening has gone the way evenings go, and come for the encouragement of other women who are in the same stretch of life.  You and your family can have dinner in the Parish Hall before Real Mom Talk childrens offerings begin.

Sacred Ground is more than a discussion group. It is a spiritually grounded educational experience that invites us to explore the complex history of race in America, and to do so together and prayerfully.

### Heading Three

The curriculum runs as eleven sessions of small-group dialogue, weaving documentary film, reading and a study guide, and participants are invited to reflect on their own family history alongside the broader American story. New circles begin each August.

The Deep End takes what we began on Sunday and carries it into the middle of the week, so that the readings and the sermon are not left behind at the door but followed where they actually lead.

The same session is offered twice, at four o'clock in the afternoon and again at half past six in the evening, as part of our Wednesday formation evening for the whole parish. Come to whichever hour suits your week. There is nothing to read beforehand, and if you missed Sunday you will still be able to follow. Women gather each Wednesday morning for study in depth, for fellowship and for prayer. All women are welcome, whether you are a seasoned student of Scripture or opening a Bible for the first time in years.

The group meets at ten o’clock, studying, discussing and praying together, and the topics are chosen by the group itself rather than handed down. There is no homework, and no need to have been there the week before.
