For His Sake
The Order of the Daughters of the King is an order of women and girls in the Episcopal Church whose members take up two simple promises: a rule of prayer and a rule of service. Junior Daughters make that same promise in a form suited to their years.
Our Junior Daughters are the Mother Teresa Chapter, and they gather monthly for prayer, Bible study, fellowship and service, alongside the women of our St. Clare of Assisi Chapter. What a girl learns here is not a programme she completes but a habit she keeps, and many Junior Daughters go on to take the lifetime vow of the senior Order as women.

The motto of the Order
A rule of prayer
Every Daughter, senior and junior alike, prays daily: for the spread of Christ's kingdom, for the work of the Order, and for the clergy and people of her own parish. It is a small daily habit that shapes a whole life.
A rule of service
Prayer that stays private is only half the promise. Junior Daughters serve this parish in practical ways through the year, and learn early that being useful is part of belonging rather than a favour to the grown-ups.
Who may join
Junior Daughters is open to girls from the age of seven. Unlike the senior Order there is no denominational requirement, so any baptized girl is eligible, whether or not her family belongs to St. Francis.
